“I want to lead on issues such as the interface of business and public policy and the growing challenges facing my generation of veterans.”

Raised in a military family and grounded in the importance of service to others, Brad decided to join the NROTC program. After graduating from Villanova University he received a commission in the US Navy.  Major Hansell’s career path may be unconventional but it has always been rooted in a desire to maximize the opportunity for impact and utmost respect for the honor of leading those who serve.  He initially spent five years serving as a Naval Officer in the Surface and Coastal Warfare communities. After a medical condition prevented him from continuing his service in the Naval Special Warfare Community, he transferred to the Army Special Forces community. While leading Special Forces teams in both South America and Afghanistan, Brad saw first hand the power economic opportunity has on disadvantaged communities. Brad is pursuing an MBA in order to remain a leader outside the military. As he continues his service, he will use his training to lead on issues such as the interface of business and public policy and the growing challenges facing his generation of veterans.

Brad is pursuing his MBA to continue working at the nexus of international business and public policy.
