Kevin Burke

Kevin Burke, brings more than 20 years of military experience to the Pat Tillman Foundation. Upon graduating from North Georgia College, Kevin served initially as an Army Infantry Officer and subsequently went into Army Special Operations where he supported the 75th Ranger Regiment, 3rd and 7th Special Forces Groups and other National Level Tier One units from throughout the Department of Defense. His most notable deployment was in 2005 being instrumental in the recovery effort of SEAL Marcus Luttrell (Lone Survivor), when he worked directly with local civilians to help US Forces recover Marcus before Taliban forces could capture him.

Kevin received a Masters Degree in Defense Analysis (Counter Insurgency) from the Naval Postgraduate School. Post-military, Kevin served at the Washington State Emergency Management Department as the Director of the Private Sector Business Division and at Argonne National Laboratory as an Intelligence Analyst and provided counter terrorism subject matter expertise. Kevin now lives in the Chicagoland area with wife Hanna, three kids, a dog and a small flock of chickens.
