PTF Top 10: TILLMANxHealthcare

This December we held our first TILLMANx event. Modeled after the popular TEDx series, TILLMANx seeks to generate new ideas and spark conversation within a particular field. The inaugural TILLMANx focused on healthcare. 

Bridging geographic divides and the many dimensions of healthcare, the event brought together Tillman Scholars and industry experts on the beautiful Georgetown University campus. Tillman Scholars Drew Marcantonio, Dr. Saul Bautista, Matt Miclette, Cody Bean, Erin Catob, William Eisenhart, Tricia Robinson and Megan Malone all presented on topics surrounding hearing loss, mental health of veterans, gender affirming healthcare and many more further connecting and empowering our scholars looking to make their impacts.

Participants also heard from keynote speaker Christopher King, associate professor at Georgetown, discussing ways to improve healthcare through interdisciplinary education.

We are thrilled at the connections made and the lessons learned through this event and are looking forward to the many iterations of TILLMANx to come!
