What is Pat's Run?
Pat’s Run is the signature fundraiser for the Pat Tillman Foundation’s Tillman Scholars program. Pat’s Run 2022 will be held in person in Tempe. Arizona, on April 23, 2022.

What is a Tillman Honor Run?
A Tillman Honor Run is a 4.2 mile family friendly, in person, walk/run that takes place in various cities around the country. They are in partnership with ASU Alumni Chapters.
Does everyone get a shirt and medal?
Every registrant — in person or virtual — will get a medal and a Sport-Tek race shirt highlighting this year’s theme, Pushing Limits. You can also purchase an iconic tee, a limited edition hat, or a 4.2 car magnet at registration.
Will I need to have my materials shipped?
Virtual runners will receive their items via mail. In-person participants can choose to have their bib, medal, and shirt mailed to them, but we will also hold in-person packet pickup in the days prior to Pat’s Run.
What is the distance?
Pat’s Run is 4.2 miles; the kids’ run distance is .42 miles.
What if I can't make it to Tempe?
You can register as a virtual participant and complete your 4.2 mile run or walk from wherever you are!
How can I change my shirt size after I have registered?
We are happy to help you change your shirt size. Just shoot us an email at [email protected] and we can help you out. If your gear has already shipped out, we won’t able to accommodate shirt changes or exchanges.
How can I update my shipping address?

When will the race packets ship?
Race packets will be fulfilled in the order that participants registered. Please check our social media for updates about shipping. We also have incorporated tracking information into our process, so you’ll be notified when your race packet ships.
How will I know my race packet has shipped?
If you’ve chosen to have your race items mailed to you, we will send you a shipping confirmation email with your unique tracking link when your package ships so you can follow it on its path to your mailing address. If you have multiple registrants that share the same mailing address, all of the items may be in one race packet. Please check with the other members of your household to see if they have received an email with your tracking number.
How do I sign up a team?
- Go to www.patsrun.org
- Click “Register Now”
- Select your registration choice (4.2 Mile or 0.42 mile Kids Run)
- Enter in your personal information and click “Next”
- Read and Agree/Sign the waiver by initialing in the box (Please note: if a child is under age, the waiver must be signed by an adult). Click “Next”
- Select Create a New Team from the radio buttons
- Type in the name that you would like for your team
- When you create a new team, you may also choose to create a team password that you’ll need to provide to others you invite to join you. Click “Next”
- Enter in your address
- Select your shirt size
- Choose a donation option or click “Next”
- Choose your previous Pat’s Runs
- Select your demographics or click “Next”
- Set up your team’s fundraising page. Select yes to register a team or an individual in our fundraising efforts and be eligible for awesome prizes!
- Enter in a Discount Code (if applicable)
- Review your order summary and click “Checkout”
How do I register multiple people on one payment?
Follow the steps to register and at the end of your registration you will have the option to “Add new entry.” You are able to do this same step for the Kids Run and participants under 12-years-old. The waiver form for each participant is the responsibility of that participant and that of parent or guardian of any minor-aged participants.
How do I go back and add an Iconic Tee or 4.2 Magnet once I have already registered?
Go to your confirmation email > Click “Manage Registration” > Click “Add-Ons” > Select the Add-On you wish to purchase > Click “Continue” > Confirm your shipping address and click “Continue” > Enter your payment information and click “Confirm Payment”
Where do I find my Bib Number?
Log into your RunSignup profile and scroll down to “17th Annual Pat’s Run, presented by Teksystems;” look underneath your registrant info and see your Bib: ###
If my kid is registered for the Kids Run, do they receive a finisher medal?
No — but kids will get a special prize!
When Is Pat's Run?
Pat’s Run will be held in Tempe, finishing in Sun Devil Stadium, on April 23, 2022. Race time is 7:05 a.m.
Can kids register for the 4.2 Mile Walk/Run Event?
Yes. Children may register for both the 4.2 mile and Kids Run. Children under 12 years of age that are registered for the Kid’s Run will not receive a finisher medal and will receive the Pat’s Run “Kids Run” race shirt and a participation ribbon. This shirt is different from the race shirt adults or those over age 12 receive when they register for the 4.2 mile walk/run event.

How come I got charged per registration for shipping and handling even though we are in the same household?
All race items are being fulfilled by a local small business. This cost per registration is to help pay for the costs of packing and shipping. Items MAY be consolidated into one package but it is not guaranteed.
What is the Pat's Run Challenge Series?
A three-event series combining Pat’s Run with two virtual events later this year — including our third annual 42 in 40 Challenge!
What is a race bundle?
A race bundle is a registration that will register you for all three events in the 2022 Pat’s Run Challenge Series.
Why should I register for a bundle?
The bundles are the only way to get a discount registration for the Pat’s Run Challenge Series. If you wait until registration opens for each individual event, you’ll pay full price.
What does Pat’s Run support?
Pat’s Run is the signature annual fundraiser for the Pat Tillman Foundation. Proceeds from Pat’s Run directly support the Foundation’s Tillman Scholars program. Tillman Scholars are veterans, active service members and their spouses who are committed to service and community. Tillman Scholarships can be used at academic institutions across the country.
Is my pat’s run entry fee tax deductible?
Per IRS regulations, individual registration fees for the event are not tax-deductible (due to goods and services received). Please note, any donations or pledges over and above the registration fee are tax-deductible. All Team Tillman Pat’s Run donations are tax-deductible.
What are your COVID policies and protocols?
We plan to host Pat’s Run 2022 in person on April 23, 2022, in Tempe, Arizona and along the Arizona State University campus, abiding by COVID-19 mitigation guidance from both Maricopa County and ASU.
By agreeing to participate in Pat’s Run, you understand that you are attending this event at your own risk and that you could be exposed to the COVID-19 virus. We recommend, although do not require, that participants be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before participating. Masks will be encouraged of any participant in public areas when they are not running or walking on the race course. On race day, if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend the event.
What’s your cancellation policy?
We plan to hold Pat’s Run in person on April 23, 2022, in accordance with guidelines provided to us by the City of Tempe and ASU. If we are forced to cancel the in-person event and pivot to virtual, registered participants will still receive their medal and shirt. If you’re unable to run remotely with us, we will create an option for you to donate your registration. If we are forced to go virtual and you don’t want your t-shirt or medal, you can contact us to initiate a refund at [email protected].
