All participants who registered for the 10K mile run / walk will receive a 2021 t-shirt and medal. Our 2021 10K Challenge commemorative t-shirt is a sport-tech shirt. We have found that these shirts run slightly large, so keep that in mind as you choose your t-shirt size. The medal includes two stars to note the completion of the second event in the Pat’s Run Challenge Series. We have limited quantities so be sure to make sure you get yours by registering for this year’s inaugural 10K!
To guarantee you receive your race items before Aug. 14, you must register by July 30.

Want to get a $30 gift card to the PTF shop? Refer five friends to register using your unique code from RunSignUp! We’ll automatically track your referrals, and if you have five friends sign up using your unique code, we’ll send you a cool $30 to spend on whatever merchandise you’d like. We’ll send your gift card after Aug. 21.
Raise $250 for PTF and Get a $50 PTF Gift Card
Anyone who signs up to raise funds through the 10K challenge and raises at least $250 will get $50 to spend on PTF swag at our shop. If you raise $250 and successfully refer five friends, you’ll get a $100 gift card to our shop.

10K Challenge FAQs
What is the Pat's Run Challenge Series 10K?
The Pat’s Run Challenge Series 10k supports our Tillman Scholars program. Participants are challenged to complete a virtual 10k run anytime between the dates of August 13 – 21. The official challenge will take place August 14 but to be flexible the window will be extended through August 21.

What is the Pat's Run Challenge Series?
New for 2021! Pat’s Run has expanded to include a three-race challenge series: Pat’s Run, a virtual Pat’s Run Challenge Series 10K presented by Directors Mortgage on August 14 and a virtual Pat’s Run 42 in 40 Challenge, in which participants commit to running, walking or hiking 42 miles in 40 days between Oct. 3 and Veterans Day. Participants will get a t-shirt and medal for each event in the challenge and those who complete all three get a special giveaway after finishing all three.
When does registration open?
Registration for the 10k Challenge will open on July 12.
How much does it cost to register?
The 10K Challenge costs $35 and includes a sport-tech t-shirt and a medal. If you registered for the Pat’s Run Challenge Series bundle ahead of Pat’s Run, you won’t need to register separately for this.
When will I receive my 2021 t-shirt and medal?
All 10K Challenge participants will receive a sport-tech t-shirt and medal. Register by Aug. 1 to ensure delivery before the event on Aug. 14.
What does the Pat’s Run Challenge Series support?
Proceeds from the 10K Challenge support the foundation’s Tillman Scholars program. Tillman Scholars are veterans, active service members and military spouses committed to service and community. Scholarships can be used at academic institutions across the country.
Is my entry fee tax deductible?
Per IRS regulations, individual registration fees for the event are not tax-deductible (due to goods and services received). Please note, any donations or pledges over and above the registration fee are tax-deductible.
How do I submit my results?
Can I run a portion of the 10k and then complete it on another day?
No, this is not a cumulative challenge. The 10k is designed to be run in one attempt. If you need to redo your run that is allowed but it will erase your previous results.
Is the Pat’s Run Challenge Series 10k going to replace Pat’s Run that takes place in April?
No. The Pat’s Run Challenge Series 10k is a new, additional virtual event. Pat’s Run will still take place in April, as it has for the past 17 years.
Can children participate in the Pat’s Run Challenge Series 10k?
Yes, all ages can participate. Please note that there are only larger youth size race shirts (Youth XL, Youth 2XL and Youth 3XL).
What is the location of the Pat’s Run Challenge Series 10k?
This is a virtual 10k, so you can run or walk your 10k anywhere!
What is a referral reward?
A referral reward is an additional incentive item that you can receive if you refer five friends to register for the 10k challenge using the links provided to you in your confirmation email.
What is the referral reward?
The referral reward for the Pat’s Run Challenge Series 10k is a $30.00 gift card to the official Pat Tillman Foundation Shop.
How many referrals do I need to get to get the reward?
You need to successfully refer five additional individuals to register for the Pat’s Run Challenge Series 10k using your unique URL to receive the reward.
How do I get the referral reward?
Once you have registered, you will receive a unique URL in your confirmation email. Share that URL with friends, family and on social media. Anybody that uses that link to register will automatically be tracked and you will be given credit for that registration.
When will I receive my reward?
After the conclusion of the Pat’s Run Challenge Series on August 21, we will begin to send out all rewards to participants who successfully registered an additional 5 participants.
Will my referrals automatically be tracked and the gift shipped to me?
Yes. We will track all referrals based on your unique URL so you must use that unique URL to refer people. Once five participants have used your unique URL to register, you will be added to our list to receive a gift. At the conclusion of the challenge on August 21, we will ship all gifts to participants that have successfully referred an additional 5 participants.
What happens if I get more than five referrals?
We appreciate the ambition and support! At this time we only have a reward for participants once you reach five referrals. All registrations go towards supporting our mission and the work of our Tillman Scholars.
When will I receive my fundraising gift?
After the conclusion of the Pat’s Run Challenge Series 10k on August 21, we will begin to send out all rewards to participants who successfully fundraised $250.00 or more.
If I fundraise $250.00 or more what is the fundraising gift?
This year’s fundraising gift is a gift card to the official Pat Tillman Foundation Shop.
What if I refer 5 participants and I raise $250.00 or more?
If you successfully refer 5 or more participants and fundraise $250.00 or more, you will receive a $100.00 gift card to the official Pat Tillman Foundation Shop.
When will my race packet ship?
Race packets will ship beginning August 2.
How Will I Know My Race Packet Has Shipped?
We will send you a shipping confirmation email with your unique tracking link when your package ships so you can follow it on its path to your mailing address.
