NEW YORK, NY—Pat Tillman Foundation, the nonprofit organization established in honor of the former NFL player and Army Ranger, with a mission to provide educational scholarships for military veterans and their spouses, has named New York-based Launchpad as its agency of record. Launchpad developed a long- term brand strategy and worked with the Foundation on a project basis over the past year supporting various brand initiatives and including the first-phase launch of the Foundation’s new website which serves as the main hub for all Foundation events, campaigns and stewardship. The ongoing success of that relationship led to the decision to bring the agency on full-time. Under the new partnership, Launchpad will drive the long- term brand strategy and marketing to raise awareness and fuel engagement for the Foundation as it looks to increase nationwide support for its Tillman Military Scholars program. The program empowers military veterans and spouses to make a positive impact for the country and local communities through scholarships in medicine, law, business, government, education and the arts.
Launchpad’s initial work will focus on marketing strategy for the Foundation’s signature fundraising event, Pat’s Run, which will mark its 10th anniversary on April 26th, 2014. The agency will unveil a new campaign for Pat’s Run through donated print, out-of-home and a wide range of event collateral that will look to bring Pat’s voice to life, highlighting the success of the Tillman military scholars and educating event participants on the value and importance of their ongoing contribution to the Foundation. Launchpad will also lend support to other signature annual events including the 5th Annual Pat Tillman Leadership Summit set to take place this summer in Chicago.
