International Human Rights Day

Blog | 12/10/2021

Today is International Human Rights Day; a day in which we celebrate the United Nations’ adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The milestone document, which proclaims the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being—regardless of race, color, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.

With more than 750 remarkable Tillman Scholars, there is no shortage of passion when it comes to fighting for a more equal and equitable future. As we celebrate this day, we do so by looking back at the inspirational work our scholars have done to continue to cultivate this future into a reality. While we as a society can continue to learn and grow as we reflect on the lessons, passion and impacts these scholars have created. We are proud to highlight the work of these scholars, as we look forward to the strides they will continue to make.
