Acts of Service Events Powered by the NFL Foundation

News, Blog | 08/07/2024

As part of our new Act of Service program, the Pat Tillman Foundation (PTF) is proud to partner with the NFL Foundation in a shared commitment to service beyond self. Inspired by how Pat Tillman lived his life, we are dedicated to empowering individuals to positively impact their communities.

Inspired by Pat Tillman’s profound legacy of leadership and selfless service, we are uniting our community for a monumental goal: contributing 20,000 hours of volunteer service in the places where we live and work. This campaign is more than just volunteering; it’s a commitment to uphold the values of Service, Humble Leadership, and Impact. Our new Acts of Service platform gives you the opportunity to host your own or participate in others volunteer and service projects in a streamlined fashion.

ARIZONA CARDINALS

Our partnership continues to yield inspiring results. Just recently, Arizona Cardinals player Paris Johnson Jr. hosted his second annual Summer Water Drive in collaboration with the PTF. Joined by the foundation’s CEO, Dr. Katherine Steele, and several Tillman Scholars, this initiative is a testament to the power of professional athletes using their platform to address critical community needs. By providing essential hydration during the scorching summer months in Arizona, Paris and PTF are collaborating to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals.

CHICAGO BEARS

Meanwhile, in Chicago, the Chicago Bears Huddle program joined forces with local non-profits Hope Manor II and several Pat Tillman Scholars for a community clean-up. This inspiring collaboration improved the physical environment and fostered a sense of community and shared purpose. By bringing together NFL players, residents, and Tillman Scholars, we demonstrated the transformative power of collective action.

These are just a few examples of the impactful work being done through our partnership with the NFL. Visit service.pattillmanfoundation.org to schedule your own or participate in an existing project today to help us reach 20,000 Acts of Service to honor Pat’s legacy!
