10th Annual Pat’s Run Registration Opens Veterans Day

WHAT:

10th Annual Pat’s Run – a 4.2 mile run/walk celebrating the legacy of former NFL player Pat Tillman who died in April 2004 serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment in Afghanistan.  The event also features a .42 mile Kids Run for kids age 12 and under and a Finish Line Expo.

WHEN:

7:00 a.m. until approximately 11:00 a.m.

 Race Day Schedule:

5:00 a.m.          Packet Pick-up opens
6:00 a.m.          Expo and Kids Corner opens
7:00 a.m.          Wheelchair Start
7:05 a.m.          4.2 Mile Race Start
9:45 a.m.          Pat’s Run Kids Run Start – .42 mile

WHO:                       

Nearly 35,000 participants, volunteers and spectators who support the Pat Tillman Foundation’s Tillman Military Scholars program.

 WHERE:

Start: Sun Devil Stadium – Rio Salado Parkway & Packard Drive.

Finish:  42-yard-line on Frank Kush Field inside Sun Devil Stadium, symbolic of the #42 jersey Pat wore while he was a Sun Devil.

 

HOW:

Register online at www.patsrun.com beginning November 11, 2013. Registration is limited, so participants are encouraged to register early to secure their spot.

4.2 mile run/walk – $42        | .42 mile Kids Run (children 12 and under) – $5             

A team registration deadline has been set for March 31, 2014. Teams with a minimum of 10 participants are eligible to have one individual pick up race packets in advance for all team members. Regular Packet Pick Up will take place Wednesday, April 23 – Friday, April 25, 2014, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the north end of Sun Devil Stadium.

 WHY:

Pat’s Run is the signature fundraising event for the Pat Tillman Foundation. Participants unite to Run, Walk and Honor Pat Tillman’s legacy while raising scholarship funds to support Tillman Military Scholars who are continuing his commitment to leadership and service. Proceeds from Pat’s Run directly support the Tillman Military Scholars program. To date, the Pat Tillman Foundation has invested over $9 million in educational resources to support individuals committed to a life of service both in and out of uniform.
