“The pursuit of excellence starts with gratitude for who you are, embracing what needs to be done and perpetually moving towards your goal.”

Steven joined the Army at sixteen years of age and served as a professional soldier for almost three decades across four continents. During his military career in Special Operations Command, he served with distinction in the Arabian Peninsula, Africa, Asia and South America.

After twenty-eight years of military service, Steve retired in January 2018, and currently works as a risk-management and technology consultant to clients in the private sector, the military, and government.

Steve chose the Executive MBA program at the Sloan School of Business, MIT, because of its scientific rigor in qualitative research and analytics, and its strategy of applying data-drive tools and technical analysis to problem solving and innovation.

Steve’s long-term objective is to help promote American values and stability in areas of conflict by supporting private companies and government organizations as they develop business and educational opportunities within communities who are most at risk to fundamentalist and criminal ideologies, therefore promoting hope and prosperity over war and conflict.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Strategic and Defense Studies from Norwich University in Vermont and currently lives with his family on the outskirts of Raleigh, North Carolina.
