John Waggoner

John joined the Navy to get involved in global service that he believed would lead to the betterment of humankind and the protection and promulgation of unique individual liberties enjoyed by citizens of the United States. After several deployments and many miles traveled, he realized that service comes in many forms and that battles need not always be fought on foreign soil.

Witnessing innumerable shortcomings in active-duty military and veteran healthcare networks, John became passionate about seeking real reform for these beleaguered organizations. He continues to pursue his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego and intends to become an agent of change from the inside, by returning to active-duty service as a military physician. Later, John plans to take bedside and political experience gained during his military career to aid ongoing reforms of Veteran’s Administration healthcare and rehabilitative services.
