Jack grew up in the desert of Tucson, Arizona watching his family revisit their military days with their comrades of old. This exposure to the closeness and loyalty of the military community led him to attend West Point, earning an economics degree and serving as an infantry officer. After observing the impacts of suicide in his battalion as a scout platoon leader, Jack identified a major risk factor with soldiers across the force: financial stress.
Since September 11, 2001, there were four times more suicides in the military than combat or training deaths. As a company commander for a basic training company, Jack discovered his desire to empower new recruits and noncommissioned officers with the financial discipline and education necessary to mitigate the risk of financial instability. As a third generation Arizona financial advisor, Jack recognizes the importance of understanding the operational environment associated with different demographics.
Jack will follow Pat’s legacy as a Sun Devil, attending the W.P. Carey School of Business and dedicating his life to service of others. By further equipping himself with the financial tools and resources available, Jack will support the Southwest veteran community.
