“I am passionate about the vital role that small businesses — and the skilled trades in particular — play in a healthy economy. They provide valuable services to local communities and great jobs for hard-working Americans.”

As an undergrad at the University of Virginia during the height of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Dave saw an opportunity to serve his country and gain invaluable leadership experience at an early age. He graduated in 2009 and was commissioned as an Infantry officer through Army ROTC. Assigned to the 10th Mountain Division, Dave deployed to Southern Afghanistan from 2011 to 2012. As an Infantry platoon leader, he led teams of soldiers on combat and counterinsurgency operations in the restive Sangsar area, the historic home of the Taliban. After returning to the U.S., Dave served as the Aide-de-Camp to the 10th Mountain Division’s Deputy Commanding General for Operations at Fort Drum, NY.

After transitioning out of the military, Dave earned his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and then worked in management consulting and the technology industry. In 2020, Dave pivoted his career to focus on small business entrepreneurship. After a seven month search, he partnered with a Denver-based investment firm to acquire The Gas Connection, Colorado’s leading provider of gas line installation and repair services, which he ran as CEO for two and half years. Today, he is the Head of Business Development for PipeDreams, a venture-backed startup building the next gen, tech-powered home services provider by buying local HVAC, plumbing, and electrical businesses and using technology to turn them into industry leaders.
