Currie Tighe, a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional, brings a wealth of experience and a profound commitment to his service in the medical field. With a background in emergency nursing, Currie has spent the last decade helping individuals in their moments of greatest need. His journey began as an RN, where he provided critical care and coordinated training for fellow ER nurses.
Currie’s military service further enriched his dedication to helping others. During his deployment in Syria, he witnessed the transformative power of collaboration, coaching, and training in a diverse, multidisciplinary team. In addition to trauma care, he got to collaborate closely with the Joint Trauma System to improve austere trauma charting. This experience ignited a passion for improving healthcare through education and mentorship.
Driven by his belief that collaboration and knowledge-sharing are paramount, Currie embarked on a journey to earn his Doctor of Nursing Practice – Family Nurse Practitioner degree, specializing in emergency care. He aims to actively serve his community as an APRN and revolutionize clinician training. Currie envisions a world where healthcare providers, equipped with affordable, accessible training, confidently intervene in life-threatening situations. Currie’s expertise as a board-certified emergency nurse and a formal and informal leader within his organizations is invaluable. He aspires to break down the barriers to essential training, especially the financial ones, through innovative technology such as 3D printing and open-source information to provide clinicians nationally and globally with the needed hands-on experience.
