Cormick enlisted into the U.S. Air Force right out of high school and his experience in the military was life changing. After serving for 3 years as an Airman, in the aftermath of 9/11, he was determined to make a bigger difference. As a result, he was commissioned as an Officer after receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. He served 5 years as an Officer including a deployment to Afghanistan where he was responsible for the procurement and logistics of equipment and supplies for over 200 remote locations. 

Upon his separation from the Air Force, Cormick pursued a Master of Science Degree in Operations Research from Columbia University. He has since relocated to Atlanta, where he is a consultant for SEI with experience advising clients in the Automotive, Healthcare, E-commerce, and Real Estate industries. He continues to serve his community through local charities and events.
