Matt Nygaard

As an experienced derivatives trader, volunteer project manager, and non-profit organization leader, Matt brings a wealth of meaningful and diverse experience to his role as Director of Operations.

Matt’s trading career spanned 25 years, and he held leadership positions as Managing Partner and Head Trader. His familiarity with finance and the markets was an asset as he transitioned into more meaningful work in the nonprofit sector. He has overseen the budgets and financial operations for several nonprofit organizations, identifying new sources of income and increasing operational efficiency.

Matt holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Matt resides in Chicago with his wife, and he joined the Pat Tillman Foundation in January 2024.
