Janey Hynes

Janey Hynes (They/She) joined PTF in the Summer of 2024 as a Grant Writing Intern on the Development Team. In this role, Janey assists with researching funding opportunities and crafting grants under the supervision and guidance of the Development Team. During this internship, they have honed skills in identifying grant opportunities, conducting in-depth research, and preparing persuasive grant applications.

Janey is currently a Senior at DePaul University studying English with a concentration in Creative Writing. They are currently an editor-in-chief for Crook and Folly, a literary magazine out of DePaul University. 

As Chicago native, Janey enjoys participating in the city’s live music scene, poetry readings, and is always on the lookout for the best bite. In their free time, Janey enjoys cooking, making music, and hanging with their cat, Chuck.
